Read like a Writer:Polemic: Industrial Tourism and the National Parks by Edward Abbey

the piece starts with a blissful state of mind. he talks of a life that he really likes working in a national park. this not only sets up his ethos of working as a park wrangler and knowing what nature is like. but it also sets up a pathos for when he talks about paved roads and cars, you feel for what he has to say. so from a life a piece he then begins to talk about the industrialization of national parks. he states this as a problems and gives specifics by using examples from large national parks. after he states the problem he goes to talk about a reasonable solution for his problem of motor vehicles in park. from his ethos, pathos and logos that was set up from his talk about other parks and the beginning he effectively portrays his views on changing the current park system. to leave the reader with a good note, he ends his proposition paper with a bit of mischief.
